Quiz: 12 Techniques of Advanced Web Marketers – Do You Know Your Stuff?

Our friends at Qzzr created this quiz to test your knowledge of web marketing. Take a crack at it and see how you fair. You may find that you need to brush up on some of your skills :).

  1. This is great, I love the design – so simple to use.

I accidentally clicked the first answer and it turned out to be right…lol!

  2. Diego de Jódar Feb 01, 2014 at 9:06 am

I believe that the first questions suggest a wrong answer as good, please correct me if I am wrong:

    – 40 visitors with a 4.80% Conversion rate means that you have 1.92 conversions.
    – So the SE (Standard error) is 3.38%

    – The Confidence Interval for a 90% significance level is: p+-(1.65 x SE):
so for this ad is: 0% – 10.38%

So the conversion rate of this ad in any sample period would be, 9 out of 10 times, between 0% and 10.38%

    That means:
    – The sample is too small and the SE too big to draw any valid conclusion yet
    – The 4.8% CR ad IS NOT better than the other with a significance level of 90%

Therefore the correct answer is that the sample is too small.

    • Whoops, you’re right. I’ve rewritten the question to reflect your feedback. The question is supposed to be about understanding confidence and significance. The new version is a little more clear and the conversion numbers have been adjusted to match a real number of conversions.

Good catch! Let me know if you see anything else.

        You are welcome :)

By the way, really good test, it touchs a lot of different aspects from the online marketing using clever questions, good job!

    • I agree to your answer. I thought the sample size is too small to comment if the latest ad is good.

  3. i think, you’re right…

Very descriptive content to knowing new things about online marketers.

  5. I didn’t get a perfect score but I must say this interactive quiz thing is brilliant! I’m tired of all the old, boring, static quiz pages.

  6. I didn’t do too well on this quiz.

I don’t think working online for 12 hours, zapped up on coffee helped me much ha ha.

    Thanks for sharing.:)

  7. I am not that much intelligent to take part in this Quiz :p please let me know what would be your next strategy after guest posts and what’s is the best tool to identify best keywords for adwords campaign after Google’s keyword planner ?

  8. I keep getting 33% on the test even if all questions are answered correctly. Chrome Version 32.0.1700.102 m and Win8.1

  9. Well here’s what I got fellas:

I got undefined% on “12 Techniques of Advanced Online Marketers”

    ERROR! ;)

    • That probably means you did so well that your result doesn’t fit within the known probabilities of this universe.

Or it means we still have some bugs to work out. If you can reproduce it would you email me your browser and anything special about how you took the quiz?

    • I think we’ve got this bug worked out. I went and checked the box in settings that says “define quiz results”. Let me know if you have any other issues.

  10. Woah! It was quite an eye opener. I definitely need to re work on some of my techniques which I thought were working for me but needed some fine tuning

  11. How to improve my website position on Google ??

    My Website is

  12. You appear to have some spam on the comments. Who is MarionSMatthe???

  13. Great way of conducting quiz. I got just 46%. I wonder how can I get this low even after I made every question right.

    • Sorry! Still working out the bugs.

Did you take the quiz more than once? Sometimes it will lock in your previous results. If you clear your cookies and try again it should work. If it doesn’t send me an email

    • I think we found the bug that was causing this. Our developer ensures me it was some sort of temporal flux and that he’s closed the rift in space causing the issue.

I’m not a developer so I don’t know what any of that means but let me know if you have any other issues.

NaN / 12. Probably for the best considering I maanged to get the “spend more money per click then the persons worth” wrong somehow ^-^’

  15. Great test!

  16. 9/12 not bad not great.

  17. Really cool test, I manage to answer 8 out of 12, 2 are just my guess answer.. :)

  18. Patrick Cherubini Feb 11, 2014 at 7:02 pm

10 out of 12. I guess this insures my job for the next week or two. :)

  19. Very interesting quiz, I didn’t know that text base was a good indicator if it was user friendly for disable people.

I also got it wrong on how Adwords can’t segment by browser, hope I didn’t gave it all away.

    Thanks for the article.

  20. Humbly think the first question needs more data to be answered. It neglects the number of impressions. Eg if both have the same number of impressions (and guess we are on a CPM ), then 1stone is much better

When assessing effectiveness, need to look at the whole path, in my personal opinion

Wonderful test though, really enjoyed, sorry for splitting hairs ;)

  21. 9/12 not Bad..!!

Wonderful test This will help me to improve my online marketing strategy.

    Thank you

  22. Excellent! knowledge sharing, these techniques are really awesome ….
