Webinar #9 – How Analytics Can Give You The REAL ROI Of Your Online Marketing

Important: Be sure to update Java on your computer. This webinar will start at 10am Pacific.

As marketers, it’s our job to grow the business. When we spend X dollars, it’s our job to give our business X dollars + some really cool amount. All of our campaigns need that stamp of approval by getting a positive return on investment (ROI).

But how do we actually know what’s working? Where do we get that ROI? When we walk into a meeting and review our progress over the last few months, we’d love to be able to say “The marketing team grew the business by [insert staggering number that proves we know what we’re doing].” BAM and the rest of the team loves us.

Sadly, this is not how it usually goes.

Have you ever tried to calculate the ROI of a Facebook like? Well don’t. It’ll make you want to strangle stuffed teddy bears. Seriously, it’s infuriating.

We all know it gets worse. Let’s start with this question: “How much did you spend on SEO this year?” Pretty easy to answer that one.

Try this one on for size: “How much additional revenue did SEO bring you over last year?” Now where did I put that teddy bear…

It doesn’t have to be this way.

What if (and I know this is a CRAZY “what if”) you knew how much total revenue you earned from each marketing campaign? Every customer, every purchase, all of it. But I’m not going to stop there. Ohhhh no, let’s take it up a notch.

What if you could measure the entire customer lifecycle?

You’d know where people ORIGINALLY came from, when they became a real customer, and whether or not they became loyal customers. Sounds fantastic right?

That’s exactly what I’m going to show you how to do in this upcoming webinar. You’ll be able to calculate the total revenue from each of your marketing channels. Facebook? Yup. SEO? Of course. All of your marketing campaigns? Easy.

You’ll know where your customers come from, how much they spend, and how much revenue your work contributed to the business. ROI becomes EASY.

In this webinar, I’m going to show you exactly how to get your ROI and why it’s critical to connect your ROI to the customer lifecycle. I’m even going to do a live demo. You’ll see my screen and I’ll show you how I pull numbers for my own campaigns. You’ll see everything.

“But Lars! I’ve set up ecommerce tracking in Google Analytics and I’ve already got this stuff!”

No you don’t. Google Analytics is missing one critical piece that CRIPPLES your ROI calculations. You might even cancel highly profitable marketing campaigns if you don’t know what to look out for. Reserve your spot in the webinar and I’ll make sure you don’t get blindsided.

Let’s face it; most analytics tools are TERRIBLE at measuring ROI. We’ll jump right into Honesty Time and I’ll show you where they help and where they trip you up.

Honesty Time

You see, regular web analytics only measures a small piece of the customer lifecycle, the rest is neglected and forgotten.

Neglected Lifecycle

Knowing how things work is great… but how do we put it to action? As marketers, we desperately need to answer questions like these:

Critical Analytics Questions

During the next webinar, I’ll be doing a live demo on how to answer these exact questions.
